Ehab Center
We’re not going anywhere.
He bought a TV yesterday. Today, it doesn’t work. But the woman behind the counter treats him like an ex who needs to accept that it’s over. He wants his television fixed. She’s moved on.
The film turns a familiar customer frustration into a failed love story: all the attention and promises before the purchase, followed by a completely different attitude once the money changes hands. The comedy comes from two people having entirely different conversations across the same counter.
Ehab Center’s home installation and company warranty became the answer to that frustration. The closing line brought the relationship metaphor back to a simple promise: “They might move on. We’re not going anywhere.” “لو هم بينسوك، إحنا مبنتغيرش عليك.”
An early project I wrote, directed and voiced on a tiny budget. One counter, three characters and an observation that needed very little explaining.
